Magdel Alberts

Magdel Alberts is a clinical psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. After graduating with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Stellenbosch she was appointed as lecturer at the University of Port Elizabeth. She later headed the Psychological Services Division of the South African Police Service in Johannesburg, where she dealt mostly with the assessment and treatment of Post Traumatic Stress. She obtained a doctorate degree in Psychology from the Rand Afrikaans University in 1998, based on her research into the psychological profiles of patients with infertility-related illness. She has worked as a private practitioner for the last seventeen years and has gained extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of psychiatric, psychological and neuropsychological conditions.
